Gumera Learning Haven understands the importance of outdoor play in early learning.

In today’s fast-paced world, where technology often takes centre stage in children’s lives, it’s more important than ever to provide opportunities for outdoor play and exploration. At Gumera Learning Haven, we recognise the profound impact that outdoor play has on children’s physical, cognitive, and emotional growth. Our commitment to providing a stimulating outdoor environment stems from the understanding that outdoor play promotes physical activity, stimulates curiosity, fosters critical thinking, and nurtures social and emotional skills essential for lifelong learning and well-being.

Inspiring Outdoor Learning Environment

Our centre boasts a large outdoor learning environment meticulously designed to inspire a love of nature in children. From sandpits and water play areas to veggie gardens and a sustainability program, we provide diverse experiences that foster an understanding of our planet and the importance of caring for it.

All-Weather Outdoor Spaces

No matter the weather conditions, our service ensures that children have access to undercover open-ended outdoor spaces for play and exploration. Rain or shine, children have the opportunity to connect with nature and engage in meaningful outdoor experiences that promote physical activity, social interaction, and imaginative play.

Unique Natural Setting

Gumera Learning HavenĀ is unique in many ways and boasts a natural element of water and forest views for children to embrace (Numula) their curiosity, grow (Duran) their imagination, and express their wonder (Gurai) of the world.

Situated directly overlooking the Coomera River, our centre provides stunning forest views and a natural element of water that captivates children’s senses and sparks their curiosity about the world around them.

Bush Kindy Program

As part of our commitment to outdoor learning, we are thrilled to offer the children our Bush Kindy Program. This innovative program focuses on creating unstructured outdoor spaces where children can explore, climb, and play freely. Led by Miss Monique, our Bush Kindy Program takes place every Friday, allowing children to engage with the natural environment in a hands-on and immersive way.

At Gumera Learning Haven, we believe that outdoor play is essential for nurturing children’s curiosity, creativity, and sense of wonder. By providing rich outdoor learning experiences, we empower children to develop a deep appreciation for nature and become stewards of the environment for generations to come.
